Glow pod
This article is a stub. You can help RimWorld Wiki by expanding it. Reason: Missing a lot of detail - when do they spawn, unser what conditions, do replacements spawn if destroy but hive intact, do they actually spawn from the hive or just as part of the infestation, can they still be moved, if so when, etc.. |

Glow pods are temporary, bioluminescent light source that spawns with hives.
Occurrence[edit]
They spawn from hives, both prexisting in caves and from infestations.[Detail needed]
Summary[edit]
As of game version 1.2.2753, they cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled upon being spawned, but after a few hours it should be movable. They last for 20 in game days.[Verify entire paragraph]
Lighting[edit]

A glow pod produces light in a 5 tile radius, with the nearest 3.481 tiles at or above 30% light level and considered "Lit", to a maximum of 50%. The provided light in this area is bright enough to prevent work speed penalties, grow decorative plants, and prevent the debuff "In darkness". However, glow pods are not bright enough to grow most crops indoors, which require 51% illumination.
