The shielded radius of a low shield pack as of Version/1.3.3326.

Radius of the shield with unshielded area denoted in red, shielded area in sterile tiles, and partially shielded areas in gold. Pawns on gold tiles are shielded from attacks directly targeted at them, however, due to a bug, they can still be hit by attacks aimed at other nearby pawns that miss

Note that despite the shield visually extends into the red tiles, it does not protect them.
